On Saturday 27 May, the 2017 Annual General Meeting was held in the Canberra National Office.
Ian Freeman was re-elected chairman of the board. Anne Weeks, after three years of faithful service on the board, has resigned. In her place steps Caroline Faulder. Mel Hatton continues on as the company secretary, with the remainder of the board – Tracey Matthews and Lionel Murray – also remaining.
CEO Judy Douglas reported on her time in the UK at the CA International Conference that occurred early May and shared on the new training program currently being developed by Church Army in Australia. This course will provide the wealth of knowledge Church Army in Australia has to churches, organisations and individuals to better equip them for the work of evangelism in Australia. She also briefly outlined progress on the next big thing for Church Army in Australia – Matt Nine. You can read Judy’s full report at the following link (AGM Report CEO 2017).
The meeting was followed by a time of fellowship amongst members that had come from both near and far to attend.
