Re:discover the Mission of Jesus

A weekend long forum that will:-

  • Challenge your thinking about mission and church.

  • Provide people with some practical & useful mission tools.

  • Equip your church with a framework for RE: Discovering the Mission of Jesus

The key component of the forum will be the four module workshop titled re: Discover.

The re:Discover workshop will be complimented with targeted sessions on Moving towards a mission shaped church.

re:Discover

re:Discover, is an interactive learning experience designed to help Christians who’ve come to faith in traditional or established churches to examine afresh Jesus’ call to mission through the local church. re:Discover is comprised of 4 modules:

  • Module 1; Jesus’ Mission-The Kingdom.
    The mission of Jesus & His church in the Bible.

  • Module 2; Reconnecting with Culture. The church in the historical context of the 21st Century, and the challenges it faces.

  • Module 3; Doing Church in the 21st Century.
    Practical strategies for church as a missional community in a post-modern society.

  • Module 4; Moving Off the Map.
    Integrating the new paradigm in the world you live in.

What Will It Cost?

Moving Towards a Mission Shaped Church

  • Session 1:
    Mission Has Come Home (Our Changing Landscape)
    The Deepest Source of Mission (God’s Missionary Heart)
    Instincts of A Mission Shaped Church (Go! Not Come)

  • Session 2:
    Examples of a Mission Shaped Church
    Double Listening (What is the Good News?)

  • Session 3:
    Telling it Like Paul (Sharing Your Own Story)

  • Session 4:
    Share Jesus Without Fear
