CAPT. TIM SCHEUER - DIRECTOR OF CHURCH PLANTING MOVEMENTS.

Airds – Thanks for your continuing prayers.

Darwin – Bob, Tom and I have travelled over 2100 kms this past week visiting the communities of Minyerri, Urapunga, Ngukurr and Gunbalanya.

Our travels were safe, we learned heaps, and we were able to bring encouragement to the Aboriginal leaders we had met in Darwin. It was so good to be with them in their own communities. We began to appreciate the power of the gospel at work changing lives and observed significant challenges being faced.

We received a very warm reception and leaders were particularly keen to discuss strategies for evangelism and discipleship. Fortunately we were able to do some training and model simple ways to “tell our story” and “to share His story”.

Dad and kids day at Blackwater

CAPTS. STUART & KATHERINE HAYNES - BLACKWATER LOCAL MISSION BASE.

Thank you for... Thanksgiving service for Blackwater Emergency Services.  100 people present including mayor and school captains from local school.  Service really went well and God was glorified.

Praise God:   The Dad & Kids Day was fantastic and a success on a number of different levels.  It was a family day where Dad’s and kids interacted with Mums either laughing or chatting with each other.

One father that joined in had brought his kids down to play on the swings at the park.  Josh, one of our leaders, invited them to join in which they did and loved it.  The extraordinary part of this story is that earlier this year  he was not one to have anything to do with Christians. So the day broke down barriers and perceptions.

The day built relationships with new people and strengthened our team as we worked together.  It was good for our team to plan, pray, set-up, run the day and download afterwards.  Altogether the day was a blessing to the community, our church, each other and especially our Lord.
